The atmosphere in the mountain during the hours of darkness is very different to what you'll find in the day-light hours. The empty slopes, the quietness, the cold, the stars above and, most of all, the novelty, all combine to make this an unforgettable experience.
Each resort in the Brenta Dolomites allows free access to certain lifts and slopes at night. The runs are all lit by powerful spotlights so you won't find yourself bumping into anything. Although, being night time don't be too surprised to see small eyes watching you from just beyond the forest fringe; the local population of deer seem to find the whole thing extremely interesting.
The free night skiing takes place on the bottom few hundred meters of the Nera Folgarida run (behind the shops in the main piazza), each Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7.30pm until 11.30pm.
Madonna Di Campiglio
Available most evenings. The free night skiing take place on the Miramonti pistes. If you're up for a stroll, Some of the cross country trails are lit at night. You can gain access the trails across the road from the hotel Alpina near the main town square.
Evening Ski School
If you have been skiing all day with your family or groups of mates, the evening would be an excellent opportunity to book a private ski lesson and brush up on your skills. Just pop into the ski school office, or speak to your rep if you would like book an hour or so with an instructor.
Don't forget to wrap up well. It can get "very" cold at night in the mountains.
